Background
The main goal of the project was to encourage reading and to increase literacy among youth.
Partners: Comunity Centre "Zemedelets-1899" - Kozarevets village, Comunity Centre "Probouzhdane-1896" - Djulyunitsa village

The target group of the project were children and young people between the ages of 12 and 19, librarians, parents, teachers.

Practice
Activities:
• Donation campaign "Reading is modern" - collected.28 books;
• New books purchased - 222 items;
• A catalog of new readings was built-up;
• Discussion on Good Practices for Encouraging the Reading;
• "Reading is modern" photocontest with 29 participants;
• Multimedia presentations;
• Green teen library;
• Marathon of reading;
• Exchange of books "Visiting books";
• Prepared information and publications, posters and book dividers.

Results
- Created was fund of books for adolescents from 12 to 19 years of age, allocated to each of the participating libraries;
- Stimulated was the interest in reading among young people;
- Satisfied were the needs and interests of young readers;
- Increased was readership of teenagers;
- Involved were new readers in the Comunity Centre libraries of Lyaskovets Municipality;
- Elanorated were reader areas with book houses in the parks of Lyaskovets and the villages from the municipality;
- Introduced was new service - exchange of teen books between libraries participating in the project;
- Established was sustainable partnerships with the libraries on the territory of the municipality,


The Teen Library Project has built up the capacity of the library. It is a next stage of the "Mobile Reading and Growing Together" Mini Mobile Library Project, funded by the Global Libraries - Bulgaria Foundation. With this project, the library of "Napredak-1870" Comunity Centre extended the circle of partners, covered new target groups and strengthened its place as an active participant in the public life not only of the city but also of the municipality.
