Mobile application Sofia CulTour is an interactive platform, a virtual guide for cultural events, cultural and historical landmarks, museums, cultural routes in the capital. Totally for free Sofia CulTour offers quick and easy choices for the user where, when and what to visit.
The aim of the initiative is to attract attention of young people and foreign guests of the city through technology to the cultural and historical heritage of Sofia and to provoke interest in museums, galleries and cultural events.
The project is funded through the Culture Programme of Sofia Municipality.
The Sofia CulTOUR mobile application is a virtual cultural guide, suitable for both guests and residents of the city. Completely for free, the app offers its users to plan personal cultural routes, quickly and easily choose where, when and what to visit. The Sofia CulTOUR application is available in two languages: Bulgarian and English.
The principle of the application is the following: the user downloads Sofia CulTour free of charge on his/her mobile device, after opening the system identifies the location and sets options for choosing cultural and historical landmarks, museums, galleries / exhibitions, theater / opera / ballet / concert, Sofia tour, churches, state institutions, traditional restaurants. In addition to active search, the system also offers active notifications for close-ups and events.
