[A New Analysis Issued] Foundation for Local Government Reform issued in Bulgarian an analysis, named "Legal framework for participation of civic organizations in the government. Models. Conclusions and recommendations". Main parts of the analysis are: - Legal framework for the cooperation between the state and the NGOs; - Strategic documents at local level; - Examples from the practice; - Conclusions; - Recommendations. Author of the analysis is Mrs. Daniela Trifonova, a legal expert of the Foundation "Program and analytical center for European law". [Qualification courses] In May 2008 the Training Center of the Foundation for Local Government Reform carried out qualification courses for municipal experts: - In partnership with the Center for European Programs of the American University in Bulgaria organized training course "Fundamentals of local economic development". - In partnership with Sofia University training course on the topic "Project Development and Management within EU Programs". The successful participants get a University Certificate. to the top >> [Annual Report 2007] Foundation for Local Government Reform is preparing Annual Report 2007 of its activities during the previous year. The report is going to be published in pdf-format in the FLGR's website www.flgr.bg to the top >> [National Contest] FLGR is a partnering organization in the project under the National Program "Youth Information-Consultative Centers" 2007 - 2010 of the State Agency for Youth and Sports. The leading partner of the project is the Center for Informal Education - Sofia. Under the project a National contest for best youth project 2007 is carried out. Nominated are 11 projects of youth organizations throughout Bulgaria. The 11 nominated projects have been published in the Innovative practices FLGR online database and the project that was most actively voted for will be rewarded as the Choice of the Public. Only during the first three days more than 200 people visited the nominations' page. to the top >> [Survey Results] The last online survey on FLGR website put the question "What are the difficulties that you meet in project development under the operational programs?" Every third of the responders (35%) answered it was the lack of timely information. For almost the same number of responders (33,8%) it was the complexity of the application forms. For every fifth responder it was the lack of time (21,1%).
