[Regional Meeting]
In the period 16 - 21 October 2007 in Ohrid, Macedonia, a Regional Meeting "Anticorruption Strategies at Local Level" was held, organized by Foundation Partners for Local Development, Romania (FPDL), and Soros Foundation, Macedonia (FOSIM).
Experts from 11 countries took part in the meeting - Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine. One of the main presenters at the workshop was Ronald Maclean-Abaroa, Institute of the World Bank, former mayor of La Paz, Bolivia.
The program of the meeting included exchange of experience and new knowledge on the situation in each country, elaborating action plans in the field of anticorruption, based on the methodology of FPDL. Experts from the region also participated a meeting of Macedonian mayors to launch the Macedonian and Albanian versions of the book "Corrupt Cities" and of the manual "Restore the Health of Your Organization", as well as FOSIM anticorruption program for local governments in Macedonia.
Nikoleta Efremova and Rossitsa Raycheva represented Foundation for Local Government Reform in the workshop.

[Information Meeting]
On the 23 October, 2007 the Foundation for Local Government Reform in the framework of LOGIN Program, jointly with the InvestBulgaria Agency organized an information meeting on the new moments in the changed Investment Encouragement Act and the Regulations to act application.
22 municipal local economic development experts and representatives of the regional economic development agencies participated the vivid discussion.
The changes in the Investment Encouragement Act and the Regulations to act application were presented by InvestBulgaria Agency experts Alexandra Terzieva and Vladimir Rankov.

[Qualification Courses]
In Autumn '2007 FLGR started a new session of qualification courses, held under the supervision of the Sofia University. The participants, that successfully complete the courses get a Sofia University Certificate.
The topics with the highest demand among the interested are "Preparation and management of projects, funded by EU funds".
