[Project work finalized] FLGR finalized the work on the Project "Dissemination and implementation of the curing and preventing corruption approach at Local Governments' level".
FLGR worked with 2 partner municipalities - Mezdra and Panagyurishte.
For first time in Bulgaria was implemented UNDP/Habitat methodology for Risk areas Diagnostics in the work of municipalities.
With the technical assistance of the team of FLGR built local initiatives groups elaborated 4 projects of documents to be proposed to the municipal councilors and mayors:
1. Rules for interaction between the municipality of (name) integrity local action group and local NGOs (draft);
2. Regulations on the organization and functions of the Municipal community council for good governance, prevention of and counteraction to corruption in the municipality of (name) (draft);
3. Strategy for transparent governance, prevention of and counteraction to corruption for 2008-2009 of (name) municipality (draft);
4. Action plan of project "Curing and prevention of corruption on local level" implemented by the Integrity Local Action Group (ILAG) of the city of Mezdra in relation to the establishment of an intermediary unit for resolution of disputes arose between citizens and municipal administration.

Mezdra Group elaborated an action plan on the establishment of an intermediary unit for resolution of disputes arose between citizens and municipal administration and in the framework of the project financially were supported:
- Questionnaire to the citizens;
- Questionnaire to the municipal employees;
- Preparation, printing of a information brochure on good governance principles and prevention of the corruption;
- A rubric in the local newspaper "Mezdra 21 st Century" (materials on CD will be part of the final report);
- A series of TV spots, interviews on the issues of good governance principles implementation and anti-corruption measures on the Local cable TV - Intersat;
- A rubric in the web-site of the municipality on the thematic issues.
Panagyurishte Group decided to propose to the mayor and its proposal was accepted - to raise the transparency of EU funds utilisation at local level through building an online data base integrated in the municipality's website with the information on:
- European funds,
- Projects the municipality submitted,
- The funding won by municipality,
- The realization of the EU funded projects.
