On June 20, 2006, the Technical University - Sofia and the Foundation for Local Government Reform signed an agreement of partnership. For FLGR the agreement was signed by Ginka Kapitanova, Executive Director, and for Technical University - by Prof. Kamen Vesselinov, Rector of the University.

TU - Sofia and FLGR joined efforts and capacity for active and complete participation in establishing e-Government in Bulgaria and creating modern and effective public administration that operate with modern program products and technology.

The two parts reached an agreement to cooperate in the following fields:

1. Information technologies for municipal and regional administrations;

2. Regulations and inter-administrative documents for e-administration;

3. Research activity;

4. Joint participation in national projects and EU projects on e-Government.
