On July 10, 2007, at the Municipality of Lovech the official opening and demonstration took place of the possibilities given by the realisation of the project "Complex administrative services in the e-Region Lovech".


The project introduces a mechanism for document exchange between administrations and institutions on the basis of the contemporary information technologies in favour of citizens and business.

The Regional association of municipalities (RAM) “Central Stara Planina” initiated this project, and it was carried out with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), expert support of the Foundation for Local Government reform (FLGR) and with the coordination of the regional administration of Lovech.

This is the third e-Region in Bulgaria (after e-Region Gabrovo 2005 and e-Region Blagoevgrad 2006) whose elaboration was assisted by the FLGR’s experts.

42 complex administrative services will be provided by the regional branches of 6 state agencies, Region of Lovech and 8 municipalities: Apriltsi, Letnitsa, Lovech, Loukovit, Teteven, Troyan, Ugarchin and Yablanitsa.

Some 170,000 inhabitants of the region of Lovech will benefit from the improved quality of the administrative services provided.
