At the beginning of 2002, after the approval of Sliven sports halls for pre-Olympic training purposes, the municipal administration started a campaign promoting the sports facilities. A brochure describing the sites and a compact disc were published, correspondence commenced with foreign missions in Bulgaria, sports federations and other organizations, so that their country teams should choose to train in Bulgaria.

Center for Information and Citizens Services of the Municipality of Vidin is a result of the united efforts of the municipality, represented by the Mayor, Ivan Tsenov, and the financial support of the US Agency for International Development and the Danube Initiative Program of the Foundation for Local Government Reform. The Center was built in the period from February to November 2000. In spite of its short time of operation, it has reached a high technological capacity and work quality, which The Center for Information and Citizens Services of the Municipality of Vidin is a result of the united efforts of the municipality, represented by the Mayor, Ivan Tsenov, and the financial support of the US Agency for International Development and the Danube Initiative Program of the Foundation for Local Government Reform. The Center was built in the period from February to November 2000.
