Strategic Workshop

On 17-18 February 2005 FLGR together with the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies and PRC Bouwcentrum from the Netherlands conducted a Strategic Workshop under the Strengthening the Role of Local Governments and the Third Sector in Housing in Bulgaria Project, funded by the MATRA Program of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The workshop followed a series of five workshops on housing policy and aimed at formulating a project idea for refurbishment and maintenance of housing stock in the municipality of Sofia. The participants were involved in active discussions and brainstorming sessions and as a result a priority list of major problems and solutions was prepared to serve as a basis for the implementation of a pilot project.
