MERI Bulgaria and FLGR in the period 25 September – 10 October 2014 carried out a distance learning course on “Citizen participation in local government. Development partnership with Roma NGOs and activating the local community” for representatives of municipal councils and municipal governments, educational institutions at all levels, NGOs, the media, and others.

The course consisted of three themes and tests to them. The topics are were follows: 1. Development of partnership with NGOs and strengthening community
2. Principles of good governance at the local level
3. Roma NGOs working in cooperation with local authorities to resolve the problems of Roma communities

Out of 56 participants 43 successfully completed the course and were certified.
