- The pilot municipalities, with technical and financial assistance from the Program, reached consensus on the priorities of their social policy; acquired practical skills in the implementation of specific joint actions; and developed new social service delivery mechanisms, as well as methods for the involvement of the supported individuals and groups in community life;
- More than 30 trainings and focus groups of interested groups were held , and 3 visits to municipalities applying innovative practices were organized;
- 24 projects were implemented, aimed at improving the social environment in the pilot municipalities . In most of the cases , the Program acted as a catalyst in the mobilization of local resources (financial and human), which by far exceeded the expectations;
- The innovative practices developed under the Program were presented at a National Conference in July, 2004. The forum analyzed the legislative framework for the implementation of activities in the social area and made proposal for its improvement;
- FLGR is disseminating the knowledge and the experience accumulated under the Program and is providing support to the communities that are interested in applying the successful models.
