Building upon the efforts made so far with regards to the forming, strengthening and activating of the National Rural Network, and in its capacity of the Interim Secretariat of the Network, FLGR created a public register of the Network participants. The register contains contact information about each participant, as well as outlines the relevant priority axe from the National Strategic Plan for Rural Development 2007 2013 of closer and most direct interest to the Network participants (agriculture and forestry; environment and sustainable land management; quality of life in rural areas; and the LEADER approach).

The register will be constantly updated and enlarged with the newly registered participants in the Rural Network, as well as published on the Internet site of the FLGR, section Rural Network (www.flgr.bg).

In addition to that FLGR created a new communication tool for the Network, generating in a joint electronic database of the e-mail addresses of participants and using it as a channel to disseminate relevant information, to consult the draft Programme for Rural Development 2007 2013 and to encourage active involvement and participation within the Network. This creates a working mechanism for targeted and cross-sectoral dissemination of information and activation of the interest and involvement of the participants representing more than 540 stakeholders from ministries, non-governmental organisations, farmers and agricultural and forests` associations and cooperatives, non-governmental organisations, community centres, local action groups, municipalities and mayoralties.
