On the 12 March 2008 the National Conference "Municipal Road Infrastructure and Protection of the Environment" was held in Sofia. The "Stroitelsvto/Gradat" Newspaper and the Foundation for Local Government Reform organized the Conference in the framework of the Bulgarian Construction Week.

The goal of the Conference was to introduce to the Bulgarian municipalities the possibilities for infrastructural projects and environment protecting projects, financed by the European Funds, and to present good practices in these spheres from 2 European countries - Austria and Italy.

Representatives of municipal and regional administrations in Bulgaria attended the Conference, and the Conference further promoted the coordination and partnership in funded by EU Funds projects.
